It was brought to my attention by a certain "lawyer" that I did not properly acknowledge the care that our dogs received while I lived in London. As teacher, you see some good kids and some not so good kids, and our saviour to allowing Craig to come visit me in the hospital after work was Alanna! She is definitely one of the good kids and she should know that doing something like this will put her forever in our debt. She single-handedly walked both dogs at the same time, fed them, entertained them and gave them some lovin' while we were dealing with bigger issues at hand. As I sit here all welled up with the sincere gratitude we have for the Hayter family (because Mel and Tim did walk them and play with them too), I just hope that as my girls become teenagers they will be like Al, someone who is very strong willed and willing to do anything for a friend in need.
Alanna you did a great job, and all I lost in the process was a shoe (which Craig will say was my fault for leaving out...it was Riley's way of showing me he was unhappy!). I know the dogs love you for it and they will know who you are whenever they see you. That's a sign that you have made an impact on their lives! And ours!
Thanks again,
Lindsay and Craig
