Update

Things are progressing along well in Toronto. The floor is much busier than I had expected...doesn't help that I'm right across from the nurses station and it's quite busy, especially at shift change.I passed my glucose test, so that's a huge relief that I don't have to have my diet restricted in any way!

Craig is having a good time staying with our dear friends Dustin and Christy. What a blessing they have been taking in my wonderful husband into their home. Craig and Dustin went to a Raptors game last night. I was really jealous and really wanted to go, but I'm glad Craig had the opportunity to get out and have a good time for the night. It seems to be different when he's here because he doesn't have to worry about getting home to the dogs because we know they're in good hands. They're keeping Grandma McGregor entertained for sure! I really do miss them!

I am receiving more testing here than I had in London. Other than daily ultrasounds, which I need to speak to the doctors about, they're doing two 1hr NST (non-stress tests) a day and popping in to hear the heartbeats every couple of hours. The NST look to see how the babies heartbeats react to movement. You want to see spikes in the heart rates and not decels which would mean that they were in distress. It is often very difficult for them to get a good strip because the girls are so active but they have been able to get them pretty good around 10am. They must be resting then. (note to self: 10am is naptime!) However, after a certain point they have had enough and just start having a party in there!

Mom and Dad are stopping by tomorrow after their flight lands in from Cozumel. I'm so excited to see them and talk to them, it's been a long week not being able to talk to mom every day.

  1. Hi
So at 28 weeks here in london I had 3 nst tests a day..then altrasounds in the morning.
i started having the altrasounds and something else in the morning..which i cant' remember the name of and then would have 2 remaining nst's later that day..one in the afternoon and one at night.
I'm glad you passed the glucose but can't imagine you would of been put on a restriction with your diet either way since your delivery is so early.
